About the technology author(s):
Bob Sutor, a research staff member at IBM's T. J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY, holds an A.B. from Harvard and a Ph.D. in mathematics from Princeton University. He was a member of the IBM team that built the AXIOM computer algebra system, and he has performed research in other arenas of interest, including electronic publication. Today, Dr. Sutor leads the Interactive Scientific Publishing group at IBM Research but still maintains an interest in computer algebra. He is on the Steering Committee of the OpenMath Consortium and is a member of the World Wide Web Consortium HTML Math Working Group.
