Jeane Chen is the Assistant Director of IBM's China Research Lab where she manages activities in network technologies and solutions. She and her team focus on delivering multimedia solutions over the Internet. Dr. Chen is an accomplished author both in journals and in books and holds several patents. She has received two IBM Research Division Awards and an IBM Invention Achievement Plateau Award. Dr. Chen, who was born in Taipei, received her B.S. in communication engineering from National ChiaoTung University in Taiwan and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Columbia University.
