About the technology author(s)

The Bluetooth for Palm team in IBM Research is a part of the Pervasive Computing Group in IBM China's Research Lab. This team focuses on the end-to-end Bluetooth application infrastructure for pervasive computing. On the client stack side, they developed an embedded Bluetooth stack, an embedded Bluetooth hardware development platform, and some customer Bluetooth devices. In middleware, they are working on the Magic Blue project, which would provide a centralized management platform for different PvC devices and a multimodal interface, through which users could gain access to these devices. The Magic Blue project will support Bluetooth. They are also working on a TCP/IP-over-Bluetooth project that will provide a Bluetooth bridge between PvC devices and IBM's middleware.
