Java tools: JDK 1.3 to 1.4.1

    Websphere® Application Server 5.0+ (tested)
    Apache Tomcat 4.1.24+ (tested)
    Other Servlet 2.2+ and JSP 1.1+ platforms (probably)

Browsers:

    Mozilla/Netscape (tested)
    IE (tested)

Platform requirements for the BPEL4WS Eclipse Plug-in

Platforms:

    Linux (tested)
    Windows 2000 (tested)
    Other platforms for which Eclipse 2.1 is available (probably)

Other tools:

    Eclipse 2.1 (tested)
    Eclipse 2.1+ versions (probably)

Installation instructions for BPWS4J
  1. Download one of the compressed archives (the .zip or .gz files.)
  2. Extract the archive file to create the following structure:
    • README
      doc/
        *.html
      lib/
        *.jar
      samples/
        atm/
          *.wsdl *.bpel *.sh *.cmd *.java
        echo/
          *.wsdl *.bpel *.sh *.cmd *.java
        echocomplex/
          *.wsdl *.bpel *.sh *.cmd *.java
        loanapproval/
          *.wsdl *.bpel *.sh *.cmd *.java
        marketplace/
          *.wsdl *.bpel *.sh *.cmd *.java
        news/
          *.wsdl *.bpel *.sh *.cmd *.java *.html
        simple/
          *.wsdl *.bpel *.sh *.cmd *.java
        services/...
          *.java *.xml
        tools/

  3. Read the documentation under the doc directory.
Installing the BPEL4WS Eclipse Plug-in
  1. Download the compressed builder archive (the .zip file.)
  2. Extract the archive to your Eclipse 2.1 installation directory.
  3. Verify that, under your Eclipse plug-ins directory (eclipse/plugins), you now have a directory called com.ibm.cs.bpws.tools.bpwsbuilder.
  4. Start up Eclipse and open the BPWS perspective.
  5. Refer to the "BPWS guide" in Eclipse's Help contents.
