IBM CIM Provider Certification Tool

A CIM-based certifier for facilitating the verification of CIM providers.

Platform requirements

Operating systems: Windows, Linux. (Other operating systems should work but have been tested little.)

Software: Java SDK or Run-Time Environment Version 1.4 or above (which one you need depends on whether you build binaries from sources or use the pre-built binaries (JAR file))

Installation instructions

  1. Unzip cimcertifier.zip, which contains two folders and four files:
    • examples: a directory containing the examples of input script and output result
    • lib: a directory containing the necessary Java Archives (JAR files) for this tool
    • cimcertifier.bat: a Windows-based batch file
    • cimcertifier.sh: a Linux-based shell script
    • config.properties: a file containing the parameters for the CIMOM connection
    • format.xsl: the template for the output verification report.
  2. Download the following Java packages and place the libraries in that "lib" directory:
  3. Configure the config.properties file according to your started CIMOM.
  4. In order to launch the certification tool:
    • On Windows, double-click on the cimcertifier.bat file.
    • On Linux, execute the cimcertifier.sh script.
