Platform requirements
Operating System
One of the following server operating systems:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux - V2.4.21 or higher
Note: DDQB can use either your installation of IBM DB2 Universal Database, V8.2 or later, or Oracle Database 10g, or a version of DB2 which the install program will automatically configure for you. - Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or 2003 SP1 Datacenter, Enterprise, or Standard
- Windows XP Professional with SP2
Hardware requirements
- Intel Pentium server running at a minimum of 1.5 GHz
- 2GB memory recommended
- 1.8GB free disk space for a full installation -- application server, application, Eclipse development tools and sample database.
Installation instructions
- Download the installation setup-trial.exe file.
- Run setup-trial.exe and follow its on screen directions. This will install DDQB and launch the admin console. Note: You may need to click the browser refresh as the browser tries to open prior to the completion of the server start-up.
- Select the 'new users' button in the upper right corner and follow the directions provided. This will create the sample database and application.
- Click on the 'open' link for the newly created instance in the DDQB instances display. This will open a new browser window showing the sample application login.
- Provide a user name and password to log into the sample application.
- Follow the on-screen directions to see a video tutorial of using your new instance of DDQB.
