 | In the left navigation bar, expand the Servers group, and then select DataPower appliances. Using this panel, you can define new DataPower devices by clicking on the New button, and you can connect to the device's WebGUI by clicking on the Connect button. | | |
 | Automatic log-in will be attempted only if both the DataPower administrator user ID and DataPower administrator password are entered in this application server console. If one or both of these are not set, then the automatic log-in to the WebGUI will not be performed. The application server also needs to directly communicate with the DataPower device in order to establish a log-in token. If the application server cannot establish this log-in token on the DataPower device, then automatic log-in to the WebGUI will not be performed. (Please be aware that the DataPower WebGUI stores session information via cookies; therefore, it may be possible to resume a previously-authenticated WebGUI session within the WebGUI time-out period in the same browser. The ability to do so is a function provided by the WebGUI itself and is not a function of this plug-in's automatic log-in.) | | |
 | Since this plug-in runs inside the application server console, you would need to control access to the application server console. The application server console provides a guided activity on enabling global security. Global security will enable security of the administrative console. Because the plug-in is running in the administrative console, this plug-in assumes that application server administrators are permitted access to the DataPower WebGUI. If the foregoing is not true, then you should not use the automatic log-in feature. In addition, the DataPower administrator passwords are stored in an obfuscated form on the application server's disk. If this form of storage is insufficient for your needs, then you should not use the automatic log-in feature. | |
