Platform requirements
Operating systems: Linux®: Red Hat or SuSE on pSeries®
Hardware:
- Linux on POWER®, such as SLES9/10, RHEL4/5, etc.
- enough free disk space for up to 64 optimized programs
- exclusive use of a machine (to ensure undistorted measurements).
Software: an installed optimizer, such as GCC 3.3/4.0/4.1 or FDPR-Pro
Installation instructions
- Run the following command:
$ [sudo] rpm -ihv esto-<version-date>.ppc.linux.rpm

- Make sure that PATH includes /opt/bin (where the ESTO program link is located).
- Make sure that MANPATH includes /opt/man; the esto.1 link is located in man1.
For instructions on how to start, please see the README.txt file in /opt/ibm/esto/share/doc/.
For usage information, run esto --help (for brief information) and man esto (for full information).
