Platform requirements for IBM Easy Website Builder

Operating systems: Windows® 2000 Professional SP 2 or above, Windows XP Professional SP 1 or above

Computer:

  • Minimum of Intel® Pentium® II processor (Pentium III 500MHZ or above recommended)
  • Minimum of 196 MB RAM minimum (512 MB RAM recommended)
  • Disk space: 400 MB minimum for installion of tool and accompanying software (150 MB released when installation is completed)
  • Display: SVGA (800 x 600) display minimum (1024 x 768 recommended)
  • A mouse or an alternative pointing device

Network: TCP/IP installed and configured

Web browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer® 5.5 SP1 or above or Firefox 1.0 or above

Deployment platform requirements

Operating systems: Windows 2000 Professional SP 2 or above, Windows XP Professional SP 1 or above, or IBM eServer iSeries

Application server: Apache Tomcat 4.1.31 or IBM WebSphere Application Server 5.1

Database: Apache Derby 10.0.2.1 or IBM DB2 8.1

Installation instructions for IBM Easy Website Builder

  1. Unzip the zip file to the folder in which you wish to install the software. The path to this folder should include only English language characters (spaces are allowed).
  2. In the folder in which you unzipped the file, double-click on the file setup.cmd. The installation status is displayed in a message.
  3. When installation is complete, you can open the software from the new icon on your desktop or by selecting it from the new group in the Start -> Programs menu.
