Platform requirements
Operating System Windows operating system compatible with Java Standard Edition
Software Java Run-time Environment (JRE) 1.5 or above (IBM JRE 1.5.0.9 or later preferred)
Installation instructions
- Unzip the installable "SecureExplorer.zip" in your desired directory.
- Start the utility by double-clicking "StartUtility.bat" from bin directory.
- At startup, the utility will check whether all the prerequisites are met, if not then it will prompt user to take necessary corrective actions.
- For file encryption operations, the utility requires the users' OpenPGP public/private key pair. Therefore, before using this tool, the you must create an OpenPGP public/private key pair using any OpenPGP key generation tool such as GnuPG.
The utility will ask for locations of your public/private keys. After verifying the key information provided, the GUI will be displayed and ready for use.
