Platform requirements

Operating systems:

  • For the API: any Java™-compatible system.
  • For the GUI: Windows® 2000, XP, or Vista

Software:

  • Java Run-time Environment 1.5
  • Apache UIMA 2.1 or above (for using the API)
  • ICU4J 3.4 or above (for using the API).

Installation instructions

  1. Download the zip files:
    • galaxy-api.zip: the libraries
    • galaxy.zip: a GUI application that demonstrates some functionality, as well as some test data.
  2. Unpack the zip file to a suitable directory.
  3. Launch the application (galaxy.exe).
  4. Add the API JAR files to the classpath.
