Installation instructions for J323 Engine
- Make sure that you have downloaded and installed all of the required Java tools listed above.
Note: You can still run the J323 engine without media on systems that are not supported by the Java Media Framework.
- Edit the configuration file bin/demo-env. The required information is detailed in the file.
- Change the current directory to bin.
- Invoke one of the following demo scripts
- demo, which runs an H.323 terminal (no media)
- demo-multi, which runs four H.323 terminals (no media)
- demo-media, which runs an H.323 terminal using the Java Media Framework.
Note: The currently published version of the Java Media Framework 2.1 has severe bugs that prevent its use for multi-partiticipant conferencing. It is disabled in the scripts demo and demo-multi. It is enabled in the script demo-media.
