Platform requirements

Operating systems: Any system. (Note: You must turn shipped *.bat files into proper UNIX® shell scripts in order to use it on other platforms.)

Software:

  • Java run-time environment (on agent machine): IBM's Java 1.4.2 or 1.5 (tested).
  • WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Deployment Manager
  • One of the following:
    • WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment, Version 6.0.2 or 6.1. (Some features should also work on WAS 5.1. The framework was based on the JMX implementation included in WebSphere Application Server, so it will not work on pre-5.0 releases.)
    • Tivoli® Access Manager WebSEAL (tested with WebSEAL 5.1 and 6.0, but should also work with WebSEAL 4.1)
    • WebSphere Edge Components (tested on Versions 6.0 and 6.1, but should also work on Edge Components 5.0 and above).

Note: It is assumed that the main part of the framework is running on the same physical machine as the WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Deployment Manager of your cell.
