Rania Khalaf is a software engineer in the Componenent Systems Group at IBM Research and works on Web services. She received her Master's (2002) and Bachelor's (2001) degrees from MIT.

Sanjiva Weerawarana is a research staff member in the Component Systems Group at IBM's T. J. Watson Research Center. He is one of the co-authors of the WSDL and WSFL specifications and is a co-developer of Apache SOAP, WSTK, WSDL Tool Kit, WSIF, and WSGW. Weerawarana received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University in 1994.

Nirmal K. Mukhi is a software engineer at IBM's T. J. Watson Research Center, where he has been since November 2000. His research interests include distributed systems and AI; at IBM, he has been working on various Web services technologies.

Matthew J. Duftler is a software engineer at IBM's T. J. Watson Research Center. He has been with IBM since September 1996 and has been at Watson since October 1997. He divides his time between working for IBM and serving in the United States Marine Corps.
