Text Analytics Tools and Runtime for IBM LanguageWare
An Eclipse application for building custom language analysis into IBM LanguageWare resources and their associated UIMA annotators.

Platform requirements
Operating systems: Windows® XP; Windows Vista; Linux®
Hardware: Intel® 32-bit platforms (tested)
Software:
- Java™ 5 SR5 or above (not compatible with Java 5 SR4 or below)
- Apache UIMA SDK 2.1 (required by LanguageWare® Annotators in order to run outside the Workbench)
Notes:
- LanguageWare 7 Annotator and demo applications require Version 3.6 of ICU4J, which is included in the run-time package.
- LanguageWare 7 run time requires Java 1.4.2 with SR8, or above, except for lexico-semantic analysis (dltls.jar), part-of-speech tagger (tagger_dlt.jar), and rule-based annotator (jfst.jar) packages; these require Java 5.
- Other platforms and JDK implementations may work but have not been significantly tested.

Installing LanguageWare Resource Workbench
On each platform, there are two methods of installation.
On Windows, choose one of the following:
- Download the lrw.win32.win32.x86.zip, extract the files and launch the Workbench by double clicking on lrw.exe.
- Download the lrw.win32.install.exe and launch the Workbench installation.
On Linux, choose one of the following:
- Download the lrw.linux.gtk.x86.zip, extract the files and launch the Workbench by running ./LanguageWareResourceWorkbench/lrw.
- Download the lrw.linux.install.bin and launch the Workbench installation by running sh ./lrw.linux.install.bin.
Installing the LW70.ZIP Runtime package
Please download and extract LW70.ZIP into a folder of your choice, such as C:\Program Files. This zip file contains the LanguageWare run time, JavaDoc, and documentation.
