Platform requirements

Machine specifications (minimum): 600 MHz Pentium® PC with 256 MB of RAM, or equivalent. (The specification for production machines may well need to be higher than this, depending on how you deploy LTC.)

Operating systems (tested):

  • Windows® platforms: NT 4.0, 2000, 95/98 and XP
  • iSeries® (formerly AS/400): V05R04M00
  • UNIX® platforms: AIX 4.3.1, Solaris 5.8, and Linux® Red Hat 6.1

Java tools: The DTO and the TSG require Java Run-time Environment 1.1.8 or above. The Java Run-time Environment certified for use with LTC is the IBM Java Run-time Edition 1.1.8 or 1.3. (Note: Different Java Virtual Machines (JVMs) have different memory management and performance systems. Intensive users experiencing problems should try different JVMs.)

Other software: LTC has been tested with the following:

  • Domino Server Release 4.6 to 5.0.9
  • Notes Client Release 4.6 to 5.0.9
  • Notes 4.6a and 4.6.6b, and Notes 5 up to 5.0.9.
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer® 5.5 and above, Notes with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and above.

Installation instructions

  1. Make sure that the TSG, Notes client, and Domino server have been shut down.
  2. Download the file and run the installation.
  3. For UNIX platforms: The TSG should be started from the Notes data directory.
