About the technology author(s): David Schmidt, the ManplatoSync GUI developer, first began programming on a TRS-80 model I computer when he was 13 years old. Mr. Schmidt graduated from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, in the spring of 1991 with a B.S. in Computer Science. Since then, he has worked in IBM's Raleigh Software Lab on the NetView family of products, which run on hardware ranging from PCs to mainframes.
Ferenc Pal, a Lotus Notes conduit developer, joined IBM in 1996. He has had various jobs inside the Software Group, starting as an OS/2 specialist and now as an advisory Technical Specialist for WebSphere platform products. Mr. Pal has experience in Java programming, Lotus Notes/Domino, and Palm development.
