IBM MapReduce Tools for Eclipse
An Eclipse plug-in that simplifies the creation and deployment of MapReduce programs.

Platform requirements
Operating systems: Windows® XP, AIX®, Linux®, Linux-Red Hat, Linux/Suse, Mac OS X, Solaris, or any system that can run Eclipse (tested on Windows XP, Linux-Ubuntu, and Mac OS X)
Software:
- Eclipse 3.2.2
- Java™ 1.5
- Hadoop 0.7.2 through 0.12.x
Installation instructions
- Download the MapReduce Tools zip file into a temporary directory, such as c:\temp.
- Make sure Eclipse is closed. Extract the MapReduce Tools zip file on top of your Eclipse installation directory, such that the plugins directory of the zip file merges with the plugins directory of your Eclipse installation.
- Restart Eclipse. Verify the installation by selecting File > New > Project from the menu and looking for the MapReduce category.
Uninstallation instructions:
- Close Eclipse.
- Go to the Eclipse plugins directory and delete the directory called com.ibm.hipods.mapreduce.
