3. Does it use a dictionary?

No. Mock translation does not use real language translation. The result text is generated by the mock translation rules. The original text will be included as part of the result text; some characters in the original text may be replaced with some other characteres, depending on which mock translation rule is applied.

6. Can I use it to test Windows® or Web application?

MT IME works on Java GUI applications only. You can generate the mock translated text using a Java application and then copy and paste the result into the non-Java applications.

7. Why do I see boxes when I type using the MT IME?

MT IME requires that a font containing the characters used in the mock translation be installed and configured for use by the Java Run-time Environment on which you run your application. No font is provided by MT IME.
