Mock Translation Input Method Editor

Platform requirements for Mock Translation Input Method Editor

Operating systems: Any Java platform

Java tools: Java 2, Standard Edition, Run-time Environment (JRE) 1.3.1 or above

Other: Unicode-based fonts capable of displaying East Asian scripts (and other scripts, if MT IME was customized to use those scripts by the user)

Notes:

  • MT IME supports only Java applications that have the frame window with the system menu.
  • MT IME does not support Java applets or Java applications that do not use a Java Run-time Environment on which the MT IME was installed.

Installation instructions for Mock Translation Input Method Editor

  1. Download the file into a directory of your choice.
  2. Launch InstallShield by typing
    • java -jar setup.jar
    from a command prompt in the directory where you downloaded the application. Then follow the onscreen instructions.

    InstallShield will copy following files and directories under the lib/ext directory of the current Java Run-time Environment:

      lib/ext
      mockime.jar
      MockIME/
      log.jar
      mockres.jar
      mockime.properties
      categories.properties
      languages.properties
      default.properties
      martian.properties
      martian_<language>.properties
      mtt.properties
      mtt_<language>.properties
      wroman.properties
      wroman_<language>.properties
      _uninst/
      uninstall.dat
      uninstall.jar
      uninstaller.exe

Uninstalling MT IME

Launch InstallShield's uninstaller by typing

    java -jar uninstall.jar
from a command prompt in the lib/ext/MockIME/_uninst directory of the current Java Run-time Environment. Then follow the onscreen instructions.
