Installation instructions for Network Address Monitoring and Messaging API

Extract the download file. All the materials are present that are necessary to run the engine and most of the example implementations of the API. Many defaults are configured for you. The only setting taken for granted is that your "java" executable is part of your PATH. If it is not, use the method defined by your platform to make it so before running any of the included scripts or binaries.

By default, the program will run once through, grabbing the externally visible IP address to the Internet from http://www.whatismyip.com. It will perform no notification.

Settings relevant to the behavior of the engine as well as configuration of the included sample API implementations are included in, and are defined and configurable from, the conf/namma.properties file. Most of the settings you'll be concerned with are in that file.

Please see the included documentation for information on running the program.
