Update: October 21, 2008 Version 1.1.2 Integration Edition resolves a problem that occurred when plug-ins were installed in Version 6.1.2 of WebSphere Business Modeler and WebSphere Integration Developer.

1. Why does the Object Life Cycles view display only some of the object life cycles in my project?

This view is contextual; that is, after an object life cycle extraction or an import, the view displays only the object life cycles that were extracted or imported. In order to update the Object Life Cycles view to display all the object life cycles for the selected project, select Object Life Cycle > Open > All Object Life Cycles.

2. I renamed some business items; why do the entries in the Object Life Cycles view still show the old business item names?

The Object Life Cycles view will be refreshed the next time you invoke an operation in this view (such as Edit object life cycle name). You can also refresh this view by selecting Object Life Cycle > Open > All Object Life Cycles.

3. Why is the State Transition Table view empty even though this object life cycle should contain some states and transitions?

The State Transition Table view shows only labeled transitions, so it may be empty even though there are states and unlabeled transitions in the object life cycle.

4. Why is the process model that I generated from some object life cycles so complex?

One possible reason that a complex process model is generated is that the original object life cycle(s) contain many self-transitions. If this is the case, try removing those self-transitions from the object life cycle(s) and regenerating the process model.

Generation from several object life cycles with few synchronizing activities might also produce a complex process model. Try to identify any missing synchronizing activities and regenerate the process model.

5. Why is there no activity in the generated process model corresponding to the transition to the final state in the object life cycle?

These transitions are ignored by the generation.
