PKCS11 API for Java

A new API for the Java programming language that provides access to cryptographic tokens.

Overview

This technology became a product called Secure Socket Lite (SSLite) and was available through the IBM Crypto Competence Center in Denmark.


About the technology author(s):
Frank Hoering, of the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory, developed PKCS11 API for Java. He has been with IBM since December 1996. Mr. Hoering earned his Master's degree in Computer Science at the University Erlangen in Nuremberg, Germany; there he developed the "XCept" video/text decoder for CEPT services such as the Datex-J service of the German Telekom.
