Installation instructions for Power and Frequency Scaling for the IBM PowerPC 970
Initial set-up and frequency scaling test routines
- Download and install PIBS 1.05.0000 on the Maple-D evaluation board.
- Download the file powerscale4ppc1.zip. This file contains PIBS boot scripts, commands, and documentation with detailed usage instructions
Linux frequency control
- Complete the initial set-up and frequency scaling tests as described above.
- Download the file powerscale4ppc2.zip, which contains the source code that can be transferred to Linux running on the Maple-D PPC970FX processor and compiled on that system. The file also contains documentation that describes the code.
