Platform requirements for IBM iSeries Navigator System Management Plug-in for SAP

Platforms: Windows®

Software: iSeries Navigator 5.2 or above

Java tools:

• Java Run-time Environment 1.4.1 or above
• SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo)

Installation instructions for IBM iSeries Navigator System Management Plug-in for SAP

1. Ensure that the CLASSPATH is properly configured for the SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo). See the SAP JCo installation instructions for details.
2. Extract the contents of the r3sysman.zip onto your iSeries system, in the /QIBM/ProdData/GUIPlugin/ directory.
3. n iSeries Navigator, click on File, Install Options, Install Plug-ins.
4. Choose the server on which the SAP System Management plug-in is located and click on OK.
5. Check the box next to R/3 System Management and select Next.
6. Select Next again; then select Finish.
7. Clicking on any of the hosts under My Connections will result in a dialog box for newly-detected components. Select Scan Now.
8. The plug-in is now installed as R/3 System Management under that host in My Connections.
