A metadata explorer that presents information about the service component architecture (SCA) services available in a given WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus server or WebSphere Process Server.

SCA Explorer supports the level of SCA included in ESB and WPS 6.0.1, which is version 0.9.

Start the application and go to http://localhost:9080/scaExplorer.

5. What if I want to run SCA Explorer from a machine other than the server?

Simply replace the "localhost" part of the URL with the actual machine name or IP address.

SCA Explorer has been successfully tested in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 and Netscape 8.1.

7. How does SCA Explorer work?

SCA Explorer uses the SCA Metadata APIs to mine an SCA module's Service Component Definition Language (SCDL) files.

8. How does SCA Explorer differ from the SCA panels in the ESB and WPS administration console?

Those panels only let you set binding information per module. The SCA Explorer shows information about each available operation.

9. What does SCA Explorer do?

SCA Explorer displays all SCA modules running in the server and provides further information per module via the tree widget.

10. What information is available for an SCA module?

SCA Explorer will show a module's components, references, imports, and exports. Each of these can have interfaces.
