  • Sun's Java™ Developer Kit (JDK) 1.5
  • apache-tuscany-sca-1.0-incubating (available on the Apache Tuscany Web site)
  • Eclipse 3.2.1
  • Eclipse plug-ins:
    • emf-sdo-xsd-SDK-2.2.1
    • GEF-SDK-3.2.1
    • GMF-SDK-1.0.2
    • JEM-SDK-1.2.1
    • wtp-sdk-R-1.5.1-200609230508

Installation instructions

  1. Install the JDK by executing the following: jdk-1_5_0_11-windows-i586-p.exe
  2. Install Eclipse by unzipping eclipse-SDK-3.2.1-win32.zip to some directory, such as C: /.
  3. Install Eclipse plug-ins listed above in system requirements. Unzip all the dependent plug-ins to the Eclipse installation directory, such as C:/.
  4. Install the tool by upzipping t4sca_install.zip (inside t4sca.zip) and copying the folder eclipse to the Eclipse installation directory, such as C:/.
  5. Download the Tuscany run-time environment and configure as follows:
    1. Release Tuscany packages to some directory in your computer, such as D:/.
    2. Run Eclipse.
    3. Select Window/Preference/SCA Preferences and set the path for Tuscany home.
