Resource Simulator for IBM Systems Director Data Model

An extension for IBM Systems Director whose commands can simulate and manipulate resources according to the IBM Systems Director data model.

1. How can I know the simulator is installed successfully?

After following the installation instructions, and after IBM® Systems Director Server is active, run one of the following:

In AIX® or Linux®:

DIRECTOR_INSTALLATION_PATH]/lwi/bin/lwistatus.sh -status DcmResourceTool

In Windows®:

DIRECTOR_INSTALLATION_PATH\lwi\bin\lwistatus.bat -status DcmResourceTool

If the plug-in's status in the output is "ACTIVE" or "RESOLVED", the simulator has been successfully installed.

2. What commands and their options can I use for this simulator?

There are four commands that can be used in the simulator:

smcli create, smcli update, smcli setRel, and smcli lsRel

The commands themselves have the prompt information. If each of them are run without any options, the output shows what options can be used.
