Platform requirements for Digital Asset Preservation Tool
Operating systems: Any Java-enabled platform
Java tools: Sun's JRE 5
Installation instructions for Digital Asset Preservation Tool
Copy the whole package to the desired location on a local hard disk (for example: C:\UVC). The UVC LDV Viewers are now installed and ready for use. The package contains the following parts:
- viewers: image and general LDV viewers
- decoders: two decoders for JPEG and GIF87a image formats
- example images: images for testing both formats in the viewer
Running the viewers
- To use the UVC LDV Viewers, run the batch file "run.bat" from the viewer's installed location. For example:
C:\UVC\viewers\image_viewer\run.bat (for the UVC Image LDV Viewer)
C:\UVC\viewers\ldv_viewer\run.bat (for the UVC General LDV Viewer)
- To view an image, select an image and an image decoder via the corresponding buttons and then press the start button to decode the image. Once complete, the image can be printed via the print image button.
Example images, together with both JPEG and GIF87a decoder, are included.
