Platform requirements
Operating systems: Windows®
Software:
- IBM® ViaVoice® R10, U.S. English (any version) (Note: The starter kit can be used without ViaVoice.)
- For the real-time lip sync demo:
- an Apache Web server
- the bash shell
- a Netscape or Mozilla browser
- a 900-MHz processor (minimum)
Installation instructions
The lipsync.zip file should be unzipped to the Program Files\Viavoice directory, where it will create three new folders: api, licenses, and lipsync. The starter.zip file can also be unzipped to that directory, but it is not required. It will create two folders: licenses and lipsync.
If you would like the files for both phonetic lip sync and energy-based lip sync, you should unzip both lipsync.zip and starter.zip. They have some files in common; these can be safely overwritten by the second zip file.
Please see the README file included in the lipsync.zip file. It includes instructions for obtaining and installing the Apache Web server and the bash shell, and it describes the files in the toolkit. The README_StarterKit file, included in starter.zip, describes the files in the starter kit.
