IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Plugin to Import Process Diagrams from PowerPoint

Operating systems: any system that supports WebSphere Business Modeler 6.1.2 or above

Software:

• WebSphere® Business Modeler 6.1.2 or above
• Microsoft® PowerPoint 2007 (earlier versions might work except for slide preview)
• a .pptx file (The .pptx file format is used by PowerPoint 2007. If the presentation is originally stored in .ppt format, re-save the file in .pptx format. If using an earlier version of PowerPoint, you can save in .pptx format if you have installed the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats.

1. Ensure that WebSphere Business Modeler is closed.
2. Unzip wbmpptxplugin.zip to a temporary directory.
3. Copy the JAR file beginning with com.ibm.btools.te.ppt_1.0.0 into the directory <Modeler root Directory>/plugins.
4. Restart WebSphere Business Modeler.
